A couple weeks ago, I got back from a Bison hunt in the Henry Mountains of Southern Utah...  This is a once in a lifetime hunt in a very remote area of Utah. It took us three days to track this Bison down and shoot. These aren't tame Bison you see in Yellowstone where you can basically walk up to and touch. They are very elusive and when they get spooked they will run for 5 to 10 miles easily. In addition the to ascender we had a horse available to help but it was a lot easier to handle the loaded ascender than bring in the horse so we didn't even use him.
